Some analysts learn the tools and then find a field. I learned the field first — and then I built the tools around it.
I'm a healthcare data analyst with a foundation in biomedical science and clinical laboratory work. That means when I look at a healthcare dataset, I'm not just seeing rows and columns. I'm seeing the decisions those records inform, the gaps that create liability, and the patterns that don't show up until someone who understands the clinical context knows where to look.
I work with health systems, research databases, and operational data — cleaning it, structuring it, modelling it, and translating it into something organisations can act on. My projects span hospital billing analysis, ICD-10 clinical coding, patient demographic profiling, microbiome research curation, and treatment outcome analysis. The thread running through all of it: rigour, clarity, and the refusal to leave ambiguity in the data undocumented.
Currently contributing to the BugSigDB microbiome database at Bioconductor and co-mentoring open source contributors at Outreachy.
