Feature type
New Feature
Feature Summary
- Official docker builds (AMD64 and ARM64) of EDA Server
- Documentation covering at minimum features, configuration, usage and deployment
Steps to reproduce
??????
Current results
nothing as nothing exists
Sugested feature result
As an open source product it is currently in an unusable state by all except those with considerable knowledge in the technologies this project uses.
As the upstream product of an official Red Hat downstream product having the documentation for the upstream with the upstream product enables more eyes on the docs. Provides for the community to assist in documenting the product so it's better'er (yeah, it's not a word. Just roll with it). Ultimately this improves the upstream product.
Official builds along with documentation allows a wider user base to deploy and ultimately use the product. Without this there is no motivation to contribute to an OSS project; Quite simply put why would you contribute to something you cant use nor even understand (the lack of docs). Knowing about and being able to use creates the required motivation to "give back to the community."
