The operator's direction decision of 28 October 2026: the network's work goes to share play first (every game that runs, no per-game work), then the virtual LAN with a LAN title, engine compatibility where a game stops early, and platform sessions once a class A game runs far enough. Games that need a publisher's account or servers are out of scope as test cases; ADR 0021 stays the line.
The trigger was today's Minecraft finding (multiplayer and LAN wait on a Microsoft sign-in that needs a platform authorization code) and Human Fall Flat stopping in the engine before its menu. DESIGN.md's roadmap status points at the ADR.
