Adds Intel macOS (archgate-darwin-x64) as a published release target.
Release: new release-binaries.yml matrix entry — target bun-darwin-x64 on macos-15-intel, so the full validate suite runs natively on Intel before the build. publish-shims.yml requires archgate-darwin-x64.tar.gz before publishing.
CLI:getArtifactInfo() resolves darwin/x64; the unsupported-platform message lists it.
install.sh: accepts macOS on x86_64.
Shims: npm, Go, Maven, NuGet, PyPI and RubyGems map Intel Macs to the new artifact using each runtime's arch string (x64, amd64, x86_64, Architecture.X64), with tests.
Docs/ADR: ARCH-017 artifact list and error message, installation platform tables (en, nb, pt-br).
Notes
Apple Silicon runtimes running under Rosetta (Python, Ruby, Java, Node) report x86_64 and will fetch the Intel binary — it works, just slower.
When GitHub retires Intel macOS runners, the entry can move to macos-latest: cross-compiling bun-darwin-x64 from another host produces a valid Mach-O x86_64 executable.

The release workflow adds a macOS x64 build that produces the archgate-darwin-x64 artifact, and the publish check now requires that asset through an exact match. The installer, upgrade path, and language shims recognize macOS x64 and select the artifact. Tests and platform support tables include the new target.

Intel macOS support works, but two shim tests skip that platform on Linux CI, allowing future mapping regressions to ship undetected.

Explanation
The description states that it adds Intel macOS (archgate-darwin-x64) as a release target. It lists the release workflow, publish-shims asset check, CLI getArtifactInfo change, install.sh, shim updates across six runtimes, and docs/ADR edits. These match the raw summary, so the description is closely related to the changeset.

Test the Intel macOS mapping with explicit platform inputs.
TestGetArtifactName uses the host platform. On the Linux CI runner, it tests only linux/amd64; it does not exercise the new darwin/amd64 branch. A regression that returns the ARM64 artifact or an unsupported-platform error for Intel Macs would pass this test, then make Run download the wrong archive or return an error.
Extract the mapping into an unexported helper and table-test the supported platform keys. Keep GetArtifactName as the production wrapper.

Make the NuGet platform mapping test deterministic.
The NuGet test runs on ubuntu-latest, but the Darwin x64 assertion runs only when the current host is Darwin x64. The new row therefore performs no assertion in CI. An incorrect Darwin x64 mapping can pass the test suite.
Extract the mapping logic into an internal overload that accepts the platform values. Keep the parameterless method as the runtime-information adapter.

You can configure the bot's behavior through a pull request comment
using the `!simple-release/set-options` command.
### Command Format
````md
!simple-release/set-options
```json
{
"bump": {}
}
```
````
### Useful Parameters
The options shape the pull request generation, so the `bump` ones matter
here. Release-time options like `publish` belong in the config file.
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|-----------|------|-------------|
| `version` | `string` | Force set specific version |
| `as` | `'major' \| 'minor' \| 'patch' \| 'prerelease'` | Release type.
`prerelease` keeps the type derived from the commits and makes the
version a prerelease |
| `prerelease` | `string` | Pre-release identifier (e.g., "alpha",
"beta") |
| `firstRelease` | `boolean` | Whether this is the first release |
| `skip` | `boolean` | Skip version bump |
| `byProject` | `Record<string, object>` | Per-project bump options for
monorepos |
### Usage Examples
#### Force specific version
````md
!simple-release/set-options
```json
{
"bump": {
"version": "2.0.0"
}
}
```
````
#### Force major bump
````md
!simple-release/set-options
```json
{
"bump": {
"as": "major"
}
}
```
````
#### Create alpha pre-release
````md
!simple-release/set-options
```json
{
"bump": {
"prerelease": "alpha"
}
}
```
````
### Custom Changelog Preamble
You can add custom markdown to the top of the changelog (right after the
version header) using the `!simple-release/set-preamble` command. The
markdown after the command line becomes the preamble. Start its headings
at `###` — the level of the generated changelog sections like `###
Features`.
```md
!simple-release/set-preamble
### What's new?
- The website was completely redesigned
- The new API gives you awesome possibilities
```
In a monorepo, pass the full package name after the command to target a
single package's changelog. Wrap the name in backticks so GitHub keeps
it as text instead of a mention:
```md
!simple-release/set-preamble `@your-org/core`
### Core changes
- New plugin system
```
Use one comment per package, plus one without a name for the whole
release.
### Access Restrictions
The commands can only be used by users with permissions:
- repository owner
- organization member
- collaborator
### Notes
- The last comment with `!simple-release/set-options` command takes
priority
- The last `!simple-release/set-preamble` comment per package takes
priority
- JSON must be valid, otherwise the `set-options` command will be
ignored
- Parameters apply only to the current release execution
- The commands can be updated by editing the comment or adding a new one
