Introductory material for the summerschool on "Modelling Infectious Diseases and Health Economics" at the University of Antwerp from 7-11th September, 2020. This summerschool is a collaboration between the University of Antwerp, Hasselt University and the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium.

We started from introductory material based on a course on infectious disease modelling by held in Chennai, India, 23-26 November 2015 by Sebastian Funk, Gwen Knight and Anton Camacho. We fully acknowledge their material and thank them for making them open-source via GitHub.
