FastAPI and Next.js Framework Workspace

This workspace contains two primary projects: a FastAPI backend and a Next.js frontend.

Projects

• Backend: Backend — FastAPI patient management API (see Backend/README.md for details and run instructions).
• Frontend: my-next-app — Next.js application (see my-next-app/README.md for details and run instructions).

Quick start

• Backend (Python):

  1. Activate your Python virtual environment:

     Windows:

     myenv\Scripts\activate

     macOS / Linux:

     source myenv/bin/activate

  2. Install dependencies (if needed):

     pip install -r Backend/requirements.txt

  3. Run the API server from the Backend folder:

     cd Backend
     uvicorn main:app --reload

• Frontend (Node.js / Next.js):

  1. Install dependencies and run the dev server from my-next-app:

     cd my-next-app
     npm install
     npm run dev

Notes

• The myenv folder is a virtual environment and does not need a README. Do not commit it to source control.
• See each project's README for more detailed docs and API information.

If you want README files added to more folders (subfolders or packages), tell me which ones and I will create them.
