I find useful to add Announcements and Global Announcement topics on top of Recent Topics so that they are more visible.

Summary
Currently Recent Topics sorts purely by time (post time or last-post time, per rt_sort_start_time/user preference), so announcement and global-announcement topics appear interleaved with regular topics rather than being surfaced prominently. Requesting an option to pin announcement-type topics to the top of the Recent Topics list regardless of their time-based sort position.
Note: the extension already has a "Minimum topic type level" ACP setting (normal/sticky/announcement/global) that filters by topic type, but that only excludes lower-level types — it doesn't reorder announcements to the top when normal topics are also shown.
