  General availability. Locks the on-the-wire contract: version: 1 manifests will reconcile in every future release; v2 ships alongside, never replaces. Gates: two weeks of rc.1 in the wild without contract-breaking issues, three named adopters in ADOPTERS.md, license decision (MIT vs Apache 2.0) finalized, all five v1 backends green on conformance + integration matrix.

  Release candidate for v1.0.0. Gates supply-chain hardening (cosign, SLSA, SBOM), backend integration matrix in CI, OpenTelemetry trace spec, production runbook, Helm chart hardening, cronix adopt for pre-existing entries, and language-neutral conformance runner. The on-the-wire contract (spec/RFC.md) is already frozen.
