Local plugin for bulk email sending with template support, batch processing and tracking.
Package tested in: Moodle 4.5 and 5.1.
- Email templates management (create, edit, delete).
- Send bulk emails using customizable HTML templates.
- CSV recipients support with multiple column separators (comma, semicolon, pipe, tab).
- Dynamic field replacement in templates using CSV columns.
- Batch processing with configurable batch size per cron run.
- Configurable send delay to allow cancellation before dispatch.
- Email throttle to avoid SMTP rate limits.
- Bounce suppression based on configurable failure threshold.
- Unsubscribe support.
- Email view tracking (open tracking).
- Batch details and status monitoring (pending, sent, failed, cancelled, suppressed, unsubscribed).
- Scheduled task for queued email delivery.
- Log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins.
- Upload the ZIP file with the plugin code. You should only be prompted to add extra details if your plugin type is not automatically detected.
- Check the plugin validation report and finish the installation.
The plugin can be also installed by putting the contents of this directory to
{your/moodle/dirroot}/local/bbcomailing
Afterwards, log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Notifications to complete the installation.
Alternatively, you can run
$ php admin/cli/upgrade.php
to complete the installation from the command line.
