Ben Everly

Senior software engineer in Missouri, sixteen years building HIPAA-compliant healthcare software in PHP and Laravel: eConsent, HL7 and EHR integrations, and patient messaging.

Off the clock I enjoy tinkering with developer tooling like my neovim config, agentic dev workflows, and Ansible roles that rebuild my whole machine from one command. Lately I've been in TypeScript and Supabase, getting into the deeper end of Postgres.

New dad, which is how I learned that somebody has to decide what's for dinner every single night. Sous is my attempt to outsource that to a computer. It doesn't do it yet, but the test coverage is immaculate.
