Betar Chat will be the chat-only variant of Betar: direct messages, groups, and channels over Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi Direct, no SIM, no internet, no server — without SOS, the bulletin board, the resource board, or offline maps.
Not built yet. This repo currently holds a placeholder page reserving the name, not
real code. It will be a separate maintained fork of Betar's code (decided 2026-07-29,
see project-mesh's docs/BETAR-TRANSITION.md Part 3), and it doesn't have its own
logo or design brief yet — see the same doc's Part 6 for that gap.
Package id (reserved, not wired into any code yet): app.betar.chat.
