The README pointed at a LICENSE that did not exist. On a public repository that is worse
than saying nothing: the default is all rights reserved, so the code was readable but not
reusable, while the link implied a grant.

MIT is the right fit for a portfolio build — anyone may read, fork, and build on it, the
copyright notice travels with the code, and there is no warranty. Copyright line reads
2026 Burt Gardner, taken from the GitHub profile; say the word and it becomes bgard68.

No dependency constrains the choice — NuGet and npm packages are referenced, not vendored.

Docs and a top-level text file only, so this deploys nothing.

The README pointed at a LICENSE that did not exist, so the repository was public to read
under the default — all rights reserved — while appearing to grant something. MIT is the
right fit for a portfolio build: anyone may read, fork, and reuse it, the copyright notice
travels with the code, and there is no warranty.
