An unofficial, read-only Home Assistant integration for JEA customer accounts.
It brings bill status and electricity/water consumption into Home Assistant so you can use the data in dashboards, charts, automations, and awareness cards.
- Balance due and bill due date
- Daily electricity and water usage
- Current and completed billing-period usage
- A 24-hour electricity usage series and a 24-hour water usage series
- Latest reported hourly electricity and water usage
- Peak electricity and water usage hour for the retrieved day
Hourly values reflect the newest usage data published by the customer portal; they are not represented as real-time meter readings.
This integration is read-only. It authenticates to the customer portal only to retrieve account and consumption information. It cannot make payments, change account details, manage Auto Pay, or perform any other account write action.
Credentials are stored by Home Assistant in the integration's config entry. They are never placed in entity state attributes or intentionally written to logs. Account and meter identifiers are used only for portal requests and are not published as entities or attributes.
- In HACS, open the menu and choose Custom repositories.
- Add
https://github.com/biggiebytes/jea-home-assistantas an Integration repository. - Download JEA, then restart Home Assistant.
- Go to Settings → Devices & services → Add integration, search for JEA, and enter your portal username and password.
Copy custom_components/jea from this repository into your Home Assistant
configuration directory, restart Home Assistant, then add JEA from
Settings → Devices & services.
The integration refreshes every four hours. If the customer portal rejects the stored session, Home Assistant asks you to reconnect with your current portal credentials.
This is an independent community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by JEA. The integration depends on the customer portal's available read-only data and may need updates if that portal changes.
