🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Run the origin/main reachability check on the main branch too.
The script checks reachability only when BRANCH != "main". On a local main branch, the script accepts HEAD with no check. Local main can have unpushed commits, or it can diverge from origin/main. For example, an operator can commit locally or skip the post-squash-merge pull. In either case, the script publishes a CarryCtx-Source revision that origin/main cannot reach.
.github/workflows/snapshot-source.yml (lines 36-85) fetches only origin/main. As a result, the gate stops with "snapshot source revision … is absent from this checkout". It keeps failing until the operator republishes the snapshot. The PR objective says the script rejects HEAD revisions not reachable from origin/main, but that guarantee does not hold for local main.
The fix is to resolve HEAD_SHA and MAIN_SHA without a condition, then apply the merge-base --is-ancestor check for every branch. Keep --allow-non-main as the only bypass.

Same finding as bitty-graphics#18 and already dispositioned there: the vendored script is intentionally byte-identical to the canonical bitty-ai/scripts/workflow-publish.sh, so hardening the main-branch path belongs to the canonical source, tracked in bitty-ai#543. The six extension copies will be re-vendored after that fix; no divergent change is being made in this merged PR.

@Xuepoo Thanks for clarifying. The fix belongs in the canonical script under bitty-ai#543, followed by re-vendoring the six extension copies. No divergent change is needed in this PR. The finding remains deferred, not fixed.

Shared fixes belong in the canonical bitty-ai script, followed by re-vendoring the six extension copies, rather than divergent edits in extension repositories.
