I like your addition. Thank you! However, I thought of an extension to the idea that I'd like to run past you.
Being able to assign function keys to a command or series of commands is great. However, what I thought would be a really useful extension would be able to put those assignments in some sort of file that acme reads upon startup. This way you'd effectively have a way of extending / customizing acme. What do you think?
Also, it seems I miss many of these comments. I'm not sure if GitHub gave me a notification or not. I didn't see one. You can contact me directly at blake@mcbridemail.com I would generally give you pretty rapid response.

Yes, that's an awesome direction to explore! I was initially looking for what "felt right" in acme.
But having a way to put the definitions in a config file would be nice to have.

Hmm... I wonder if it makes a difference if I include a mention like this: @blakemcbride
I usually get a notification in github that shows up as a blue dot on the in box:

Hey @blakemcbride πββοΈ
legmacs is an emacs-like editor implemented in a clojure dialect called let-go:
https://github.com/nooga/legmacs
https://github.com/nooga/let-go
legmacs runs on plan9. I have directions here for setting up a plan9 VM with legmacs here:
https://github.com/dharmatech/get9/blob/main/docs/from-zero-to-legmacs.md
And a video demo here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuDmWXBsyDo
Now... what does this have to do with acme? π
Well, I've been messing around with some acme-like extensions to legmacs.
There's a video demo of this here:
https://youtu.be/zhKd5NLm4oA?si=safJpSyFXMaMpbcx
That is in an experimental draft PR here:
nooga/legmacs#3
Just some acme/plan9 related stuff I thought I'd share with ya. π
