GaDGeT: Initial public release

This is the first public release of the R-based software package GaDGeT, designed to calculate GDGT-based indices from HPLC peak area data.
The release includes:

• All core R scripts and functions
• Example dataset(s)
• Documentation and usage instructions (in README.md)
• Reproducible example workflow
• This version is archived for reproducibility and accompanies the manuscript submission to SoftwareX.

This release corresponds to the version submitted with the manuscript titled "GaDGeT: An open-source R-workflow for fast and flexible GDGT index calculations" in July 2025.
