Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away, there was a Sphero BB8 Droid that you could control via Node.js and bluetooth. This crude javascript enabled it to speak via morse code, flashing its lights. Paired with a morse code app on your phone, and the right modulation settings, you could send and receive messages.
