Dynamic text replacement/text-templates

It'd be awesome if, at some point, UC could support some kind of dynamic text replacement, so that UC could generate text content in real-time based upon special input strings.

For example, if the user entered {{clock}} into a field, this would be substituted with a real-time clock, or {{current_time}} would be replaced with the system time in a given format?

Perhaps this could also lead to a full user-variable system...
