@canonical/tls PTAL at this Dependabot security PR, and assess whether the security issue applies to this library. If it does, consider constraining the dependency version in pyproject.toml if feasible, or updating calling code if required -- for either of these, consider making a library release.

Either way, we should land this PR to ensure we're running a good version of this dependency in tests.

It looks like this version bump also eliminates the need for some type: ignore comments, which is a nice bonus, but needs to be manually addressed in this PR.
