Can you try to fetch the PR, build snap, and test the snap locally and tell us if it's work for you? If you encounter any difficulties on building/deploy snap please ping me and I will try to unblock you.

@coccolesto I think a reasonable workaround while the snap permissions are fixed, is to use the proprietary storcli-deb to collect the metrics. This is currently supported and instructions on how to set are in the docs
