What changed

  • add flagtree-0.6.0_triton3.6.Dockerfile
  • use CUDA 13.0.2 / Ubuntu 24.04 as the build base
  • install PyTorch 2.10.0 from the CUDA 13.0 wheel index and assert that it brings Triton 3.6.0
  • uninstall the upstream Triton wheel before compiling FlagTree 0.6.0 from its release tag
  • verify the installed FlagTree and PyTorch package versions at build time

Why

FlagTree is a fork of Triton and installs the same triton Python module. The upstream Triton distribution bundled with PyTorch must therefore be removed before installing FlagTree, while the rest of PyTorch's runtime dependencies remain installed.

Image tags

The repository release workflow parses the filename into image flagtree and version 0.6.0_triton3.6. An underscore is used because + is not valid in a Docker tag.

Validation

  • Dockerfile and workflow naming conventions reviewed statically
  • build-time assertions validate Triton 3.6.0 before removal and FlagTree 0.6.0 after installation
  • PR Docker Build CI will perform the full container build
