Summary
Form store and cancel handling modules/web/web/stores/localFormStore.ts, modules/web/web/components/view/ChoyFormView.vue, modules/web/web/composables/useFormViewLifecycle.ts
The local form store supports additional scalar types, defaults, selection options, and size metadata. Form views accept a custom cancel handler.
Property editor and field display modules/web/web/components/field/*, modules/web/i18n/*
The property editor uses ChoyFormView, supports read-only and editable modes, and renders selection values as text in read-only mode. Tests and translations are updated.
Shared routes, pages, and views modules/web/web/route/*, modules/web/web/pages/*, modules/web/web/views/*, modules/web/web/appSetup.ts
Shared list, create, and detail routes and application-aware pages are added. The router registers the routes, and the views use application-specific stores and paths.
Auth, base, meta, partner, sandbox, and web add record-property menu entries. Sandbox adopts the shared list route and removes its former property-definition pages and routes. Catalogs add or update related translations.

Explanation
The title "feat(web): host Property Definition settings and polish item dialog" matches the main changes. The PR moves Property Definition list and form pages into the shared web host with per-application routes and Settings menus, removes the sandbox-specific pages, and refactors the item dialog onto FormView and Choy fields. The title names both the main move and the dialog polish. It uses a conventional commit prefix and fits in one sentence of 9 words.

resolvePropertyDefinitionListApplication falls back to a regex on route.path matching /web/property-definitions/([^/]+). For the create/detail routes the path is /web/property-definitions/:application/new or /:id, so if meta/params are missing the regex would capture new or the record id as the application name, producing a bogus store model like new.PropertyDefinition. The list route always sets meta, but any future route reusing this helper without meta will silently bind the wrong store. Low confidence on current trigger, but the fallback is unsafe.
PropertyDefinitionCreate uses path web/property-definitions/:application/new and PropertyDefinitionDetail uses web/property-definitions/:application/:id. Vue Router ranks static segments higher, so new should win, but the per-app list routes (e.g. web/property-definitions/auth) are registered by other modules and the shared create/detail routes are registered by web. If a module's list path is web/property-definitions/:application (dynamic) it would shadow the static list routes. Currently list routes are literal, so OK — but the comment claims "Register /new before /:id" while the actual ordering guarantee comes from static-vs-dynamic ranking, not array order. Worth a test asserting /web/property-definitions/auth/new resolves to Create, not Detail.
// Register /new before /:id so "new" is not captured as an id.defineRoute('web.route.property_definition_create',{sequence: 51,title: _lt('New Property Definition'),path: 'web/property-definitions/:application/new',name: 'PropertyDefinitionCreate',component: propertyDefinitionFormComponent,actions: ['web.action.property_definition_create','web.action.property_definition_edit','web.action.property_definition_delete','web.action.property_definition_copy',],defaultRoles: ['sys.admin'],meta: {requiresAuth: true},}),defineRoute('web.route.property_definition_detail',{sequence: 52,title: _lt('Property Definition'),path: 'web/property-definitions/:application/:id',name: 'PropertyDefinitionDetail',component: propertyDefinitionFormComponent,actions: ['web.action.property_definition_create','web.action.property_definition_edit','web.action.property_definition_delete','web.action.property_definition_copy',],defaultRoles: ['sys.admin'],meta: {requiresAuth: true},}),
defaultValueForType('jsonobject') returns a fresh {} per call, which is fine, but createLocalFormStore may assign this default to multiple fields; if the same object instance is reused across fields (depending on how defaults are applied), mutating one field's jsonobject would mutate another's. Confirm defaults are cloned per field. Also bigint defaulting to null with typeAnnotation: 'string' is inconsistent with typical bigint handling; verify ChoyFieldBase renders it correctly.
openRow is bound to @open from the table, and the table now emits open on row click for both edit and display modes. In display mode canMutate is false so dialogReadonly is forced true — fine. But in edit mode, clicking anywhere on the row (including the label cell) opens the dialog; the remove button stops propagation, but the drag handle and index cells do not. Dragging a row may also trigger a click that opens the dialog. Verify the drag handle click is suppressed.
When cancelHandler is set, handleCancel sets createBaseline.value = null and awaits the handler, then returns — skipping the viewMode === 'create' router.back and the edit beginDisplay paths. For an embedded dialog this is intended, but leaving = true is set before the branch and never reset on the cancelHandler path (it is reset in the finally of the non-handler path? verify). If leaving stays true, subsequent lifecycle operations (e.g. re-open) may be blocked. Check the leaving flag is cleared after cancelHandler resolves.

The path fallback will also match the create/detail routes (/web/property-definitions/:application/new and /:id), so a list page rendered under a detail path would resolve application to the literal new or an id. Anchor the regex to the list path end to avoid mis-binding the store.
- const m = String(route.path || '').match(/\/web\/property-definitions\/([^/]+)/);+ const m = String(route.path || '').match(/\/web\/property-definitions\/([^/]+)\/?$/);
return String(m?.[1] || '').trim();
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 6
__
Why: The path fallback regex would indeed match detail/create paths and resolve application to new or an id, but this fallback only runs when meta and params are absent, and list routes always set meta.propertyDefinitionApplication. Anchoring the regex is a valid, low-risk hardening.
Low
Use counter for unique form store id
Date.now() can collide when two dialogs open within the same millisecond, and it also defeats any store caching keyed by storeId. Use a monotonic counter (or the existing localFormStoreSeq pattern) for a stable unique id.
Why: Date.now() collision is theoretically possible but extremely unlikely in practice since only one dialog is open at a time and clearForm() nulls the store on close. The storeId is not used for caching here, so the impact is marginal.
Low
Possible issue
Handle submit errors in apply handler
The fallback path bypasses mergeFormIntoDraft ordering guarantees and can emit saved with stale formDataRef if trackFormData has not run yet. Also, if submit() rejects, the error is swallowed and the dialog stays open with no feedback. Wrap the submit in try/catch and surface the error via formError.
async function onApply() {
if (props.readonly) return;
- if (formViewRef.value?.submit) {- await formViewRef.value.submit();- return;+ try {+ if (formViewRef.value?.submit) {+ await formViewRef.value.submit();+ return;+ }+ await onFormSubmit({+ formData: formDataRef.value as any,+ mode: 'create',+ data: formDataRef.value as any,+ } as any);+ } catch (e) {+ formError.value = e instanceof Error ? e.message : String(e);
}
- await onFormSubmit({- formData: formDataRef.value as any,- mode: 'create',- data: formDataRef.value as any,- } as any);
}
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 5
__
Why: Adding a try/catch around submit() is a reasonable hardening for the error path, though onFormSubmit already sets formError internally. The claim about stale formDataRef is speculative; the error-surfacing part is a modest improvement.
Low
Security
Guard unsupported application param on routes
The create/detail routes accept any :application value, so a user can navigate to /web/property-definitions/core/new even though core has no PropertyDefinition store (per the comment). Validate the application param in the page/composable and render an error/redirect instead of creating a store for an unsupported app.
Why: The improved_code only adds a meta.propertyDefinitionApplication: ':application' literal, which does not actually validate the param or implement the described guard, so it does not reflect the suggested change. The underlying concern is also speculative since core is excluded by design.
Enter/Space on the trash control bubbled to the row role=button handler.
Also declare FormSubmitHandler ctx so the Apply fallback matches the contract.
formDataRef is a shallowRef replaced wholesale by trackFormData, so this watcher only fires when the object identity changes, not when Type is edited in place. Watch the store field (or formStore.value?.getField('Type')) so local.type stays in sync and the selection section toggles correctly.
watch(
- () => formDataRef.value?.Type,+ () => formStore.value?.getField?.('Type'),
type => {
const item = local.value;
if (!item || props.readonly || type == null) return;
item.type = String(type);
},
);
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 6
__
Why: The watcher on formDataRef.value?.Type may not fire reliably since formDataRef is a shallowRef and trackFormData replaces it wholesale. Watching the store field is more robust, though the exact reactivity behavior of getField needs verification.
Low
Use counter for local form store id
Using Date.now() for storeId can collide when two dialogs open within the same millisecond and makes the id non-deterministic for tests. Use a monotonic counter (or the existing localFormStoreSeq-style pattern) instead.
Why: The Date.now() storeId is a minor robustness concern; collisions are unlikely since only one dialog form store exists at a time. The localFormStoreSeq pattern already exists in localFormStore.ts, so a counter is reasonable, but impact is low.
Low
Security
Validate application route param
The create/detail routes accept any :application param and only gate on sys.admin, so a user could open /web/property-definitions//new and the page will attempt createStore('.PropertyDefinition'). Consider validating the application param in a route guard (or in usePropertyDefinitionDetailPage) against installed modules before creating the store.
Why: The create/detail routes accept any :application param and create a store from it. Validating against installed modules is a reasonable hardening, but the improved_code only adds a validateApplicationParam: true meta flag without implementing the actual guard, so the fix is incomplete.
Low
Validate application before rendering title
application comes from route meta/params/path and is rendered into the page title; if it can ever be attacker-controlled it should be validated against known module names. At minimum, guard against unexpected values so an arbitrary path segment cannot be reflected into the title.
Why: The application value is rendered via i18n interpolation, which is not an XSS vector in Vue's text interpolation. The suggestion is speculative and offers marginal hardening; the regex guard is a reasonable defensive measure but low impact.

Preserve the FormView dirty-confirmation path when cancelling.
onFormCancel closes the dialog immediately. The footer calls this function directly while show-actions="false" disables the FormView buttons. Therefore, FormView never runs its dirty check or the cancelHandler contract.
After a user edits a field, Cancel discards the local draft without confirmation. Route the footer through the FormView cancel API, or perform the dirty check before setting visible to false. FormView documents cancelHandler as running after dirty confirmation and invokes it from its lifecycle cancel path. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Footer Cancel now calls FormView.cancel so unsaved edits prompt before
close; expose cancel on FormView and extend FE coverage for dialog edit
promotion, Apply fallback, and cancelHandler wiring.
Fixed (CodeRabbit — dirty cancel): edit-mode footer Cancel now calls FormView.cancel so dirty confirmation runs before cancelHandler closes the dialog. Readonly Close still closes directly. Also exposed cancel on FormView and added FE coverage for dialog edit promotion, Apply fallback, and cancelHandler.
Skipped (still stand by prior replies): stale form on edit promotion; handled: true on validation; selection draft retention across type switches; selection colspan; boolean empty checkboxLabel; empty createPath when application missing — intentional / gated by existing page & FormView contracts.
formDataRef is a shallowRef reassigned wholesale by trackFormData, so this watcher only fires when the object identity changes, not when Type is edited in place. Watch the store field instead (or make formDataRef reactive) so item.type stays in sync and the selection section toggles correctly.

},
);
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 6
__
Why: The watcher on formDataRef.value?.Type with a shallowRef reassigned by trackFormData may indeed not fire on in-place edits, which could break the selection-section toggle. This is a plausible reactivity bug worth verifying, though the exact behavior depends on how formData is mutated.
Low
Use unique store id generator
Date.now() can collide when two dialogs open in the same millisecond (e.g. rapid reopen), producing a duplicate storeId that may be shared/cached by the store registry. Use a monotonic counter or crypto.randomUUID() for uniqueness.
Why: The Date.now() collision concern is largely theoretical since createLocalFormStore is an in-memory store and the dialog is a single instance; a duplicate storeId in the same millisecond is unlikely to cause real harm. Low impact, and crypto.randomUUID() availability in the target runtime is unverified.
Low
Possible issue
Handle submit errors gracefully
The fallback path bypasses FormView validation, so a required Name typed only into the store (not yet synced to formDataRef) could be submitted stale. Also formViewRef.value.submit() may reject; wrap in try/catch so a thrown error surfaces as formError instead of an unhandled rejection.
async function onApply() {
if (props.readonly) return;
- if (formViewRef.value?.submit) {- await formViewRef.value.submit();- return;+ try {+ if (formViewRef.value?.submit) {+ await formViewRef.value.submit();+ return;+ }+ await onFormSubmit({+ formData: formDataRef.value as any,+ mode: 'create',+ data: formDataRef.value as any,+ defaultSubmit: async () => null,+ });+ } catch (e) {+ formError.value = e instanceof Error ? e.message : String(e);
}
- await onFormSubmit({- formData: formDataRef.value as any,- mode: 'create',- data: formDataRef.value as any,- defaultSubmit: async () => null,- });
}
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 5
__
Why: Wrapping formViewRef.value.submit() in try/catch is a reasonable hardening against unhandled rejections, though the fallback-path staleness claim is speculative. Moderate value as an error-handling improvement.
Low

Validate application route param
The detail resolver trusts the raw :application route param, which drives createStore(${app}.PropertyDefinition). Unlike the list resolver it has no allow-list/validation, so an arbitrary param value reaches the store factory. Validate against known applications (or at least a safe identifier pattern) and return '' otherwise.
Why: The param feeds createStore(${app}.PropertyDefinition), but the list resolver also derives from path/meta without an allow-list, so this is consistent with existing patterns rather than a clear security hole. A safe-identifier guard is mild hardening, not a critical fix.

- Treat selection options/maps as dirty outside FormView draft
- Watch Type via formStore.getField for selection-section sync
- Surface onApply submit failures as formError
- Cover selection cancel and apply error paths in FE unit tests
Added FE unit coverage for the previously missing ItemDialog paths (selection-dirty cancel confirm/decline, onApply throw → formError, related guards). Expect patch coverage back to 100% after CI reports.
Updating formDataRef.value.Label and Help directly does not notify formStore or ChoyFormView's internal state when formDataRef is a shallowRef. As a result, the form UI will not reflect the translated text until save. Sync the translated value directly to formStore.value?.setField(...) to ensure the form view updates properly.
Why: formDataRef is a shallowRef, and mutating its properties (formDataRef.value.Label = ...) neither triggers Vue reactivity nor updates formStore directly. Calling formStore.value?.setField(...) ensures that ChoyFormView and its bound field components immediately reflect the updated translation strings.
- Call formStore.setField after Label/Help translate so FormView updates
- Extract/sync Discard/Unsaved strings for i18n status
- Cover modelValue close cleanup that clears selection baseline
Failed on pot-dirty for three new Discard/Unsaved _t strings in ChoyPropertiesDefinitionItemDialog. Fixed in a6a0683 via i18n extract + sync + zh_CN msgstr (aligned with useFormViewLifecycle).
The 5 missing patch lines were clearForm / close-path cleanup (including the new selection baseline reset). Added a modelValue true→false FE unit that asserts closed and form teardown. Local patch coverage for ItemDialog is 100%; expect Codecov to match after CI uploads.
The path fallback regex will also match the create/detail segments, e.g. /web/property-definitions/auth/new yields auth (fine) but /web/property-definitions/new would yield new. More importantly, the regex is not anchored, so a path like /x/web/property-definitions/auth matches. Anchor the pattern to the start and exclude reserved segments (new) to avoid resolving a bogus application.
Why: Anchoring the regex is a reasonable hardening, but the path fallback is only a last resort after meta and params, and the new exclusion is largely moot since create routes use :application params. Minor robustness improvement.

Reset lifecycle leaving flag on close
onFormCancel is passed as cancelHandler to ChoyFormView, which runs it after the dirty confirm. But onFooterCancel also calls formViewRef.value.cancel() when the form is dirty, and handleCancel in useFormViewLifecycle sets leaving = true before invoking cancelHandler. If the dialog is reopened later, leaving may stay true and block subsequent cancels. Reset leaving (or ensure the lifecycle resets it) when the dialog closes, e.g. by clearing state in the watch on modelValue.
Why: The concern about leaving staying true is speculative; useFormViewLifecycle likely resets leaving in a finally block, and the improved_code is identical to existing_code, so no concrete fix is provided. Low impact and unverified.
Low
Possible issue
Surface unhandled submit results
onFormSubmit already returns { handled: true, skipSuccessMessage: true } and never throws for validation failures, so the catch here only covers unexpected throws. However, when formViewRef.value.submit resolves but the submit handler returned an unhandled result (e.g. validation error surfaced only via formError), the dialog stays open silently. Consider checking the submit result and surfacing a generic error when handled is falsy, so failures are not swallowed.
async function onApply() {
if (props.readonly) return;
try {
if (formViewRef.value?.submit) {
- await formViewRef.value.submit();+ const result = await formViewRef.value.submit();+ if (result && typeof result === 'object' && 'handled' in result && !(result as any).handled) {+ formError.value = _t('Unable to apply changes');+ }
return;
}
await onFormSubmit({
formData: formDataRef.value as any,
mode: 'create',
data: formDataRef.value as any,
defaultSubmit: async () => null,
});
} catch (e) {
formError.value = e instanceof Error ? e.message : String(e);
}
}
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 4
__
Why: The suggestion is plausible but onFormSubmit always returns handled: true, and validation errors are already surfaced via formError. The added check is defensive but offers marginal benefit and depends on submit() return shape not shown in the diff.
Low
Seed selection default from options
defaultValueForType('selection') returns null, but ChoySelectionField with :clearable="false" may not render a value for null. For the Type field in the item dialog this means the initial type is not shown until the user picks one. Consider defaulting selection fields to the first option's value when initialValues does not provide one, or document that callers must seed it.
+ if (field.type === 'selection') {+ if (!Array.isArray(field.selection) || field.selection.length === 0) {+ throw new Error(`createLocalFormStore selection field "${name}" requires a non-empty selection`);+ }+ }-
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 2
__
Why: The improved_code is identical to existing_code, so no actual change is proposed. The concern about null selection defaults is speculative and the dialog seeds Type via initialValues, so the issue is unlikely to manifest.
