This draft pull request is a throwaway test. Do not merge it. I will close it and delete its branch when the test is finished.

It adds one workflow that reports the check name label-run-check. The job fails on a push. It passes when the label question is added, and it is skipped when the label invalid is added.

The test records which result GitHub shows as the latest for that check name on one commit. A planned merge queue setup starts workflows when a label is added, so we need to know whether a run started by a label can replace an earlier failure.

Do not merge. The workflow reports one check name. It fails on a push, passes when the label question is added, and is skipped when the label invalid is added. The pull request records which result GitHub shows as the latest.

Test finished. GitHub kept every result for the check name label-run-check on this commit, one for each workflow run: the failure from the push (re-run, still failure), the success from the label question, and the skip from the label invalid. A re-run replaced the earlier result only inside its own workflow run. The main branch requires no status checks, so this test could not show which of those results a required check would use. The pull request is closed and its branch is deleted.
