There were a few issues

.sln file didn't properly reference the binding sample project for me
Native .so files were not placed in the correct location
Native .so files were not set to the correct build action
Metadata.xml transform file needed some entries to work around compilation issues
Metadata.xml transform file was missing some fixes for parameter names

Includes some parameter name fixes
