Looks useful - key thing is to change the numeric format, e.g. to ^n / +n rather than ^n^ / +n+.
Could also do with an integration test or two.

Allow elrefs to refer to elements back multiple by repeated
^^^^or sandwich a number between to eg^4^.Also same thing but using
