Publish the September 25 episode in podcast RSS #6

Description

@codekiln

Publish GitP.26.09.25 as an editable public Logseq page and a podcast RSS item. The MP3 is already uploaded to the public Backblaze bucket.

Acceptance:

  • Keep title, description, recording date, publication date, stable GUID, page URL, and enclosure details in an episode record.
  • Generate a checked-in RSS feed from published records, while leaving the existing draft records unpublished.
  • Copy the feed to the GitHub Pages site and link it from the podcast home page.
  • Check the feed and public source in CI, and scan staged files locally.
  • After deployment, subscribe to the feed by URL and verify the episode plays.

    PR #7 merged and Pages deployment passed. Live RSS matches the committed rss.xml byte for byte; XML parses, the episode and enclosure metadata are present, and the public episode page renders. The MP3 responds to HEAD and byte-range requests, ffprobe reports 44.1 kHz stereo MP3 at 16:22, and ffmpeg decoded the first five seconds without error.

    The only acceptance check still open is subscribing by URL and testing playback/display in a podcast app. The Mac is locked while Myer is away. CLI checks establish feed and media validity but cannot confirm a client's subscription UI.

    The existing completion comment records successful Pages deployment, live RSS and enclosure checks, and audio decoding after PR #7 — September 25 RSS merged. Keep this issue open for the remaining podcast-client subscription and playback/display acceptance check.

    Priority is normal, after the listener layout review on PR #12. No dedicated worker is running on this issue. Codex chat 01a110f1-45c5-7633-ad92-c6f9f7f131d8 coordinates the recurring work and will retain this outstanding check.

    The scheduled worker read the existing PR #7 — September 25 RSS evidence, then tried to open Podcasts for the remaining client acceptance check. Native app selection returned no usable UI. A bounded follow-up app inventory reported: the Mac is locked and automatic unlock could not unlock it.

    Subscription, podcast-client display and playback remain unverified. No subscription action or file change occurred. Completion requires an unlocked Mac, then following https://codekiln.github.io/gitpa/rss.xml in an installed podcast client and checking the September 25 episode's metadata and playback.

    Worker gitpa_listener has finished this attempt and is idle. Codex chat 01a110f1-45c5-7633-ad92-c6f9f7f131d8 retains ownership of the follow-up; no implementation branch/worktree was needed for this UI-only check. The issue stays open and is blocked on native app access. The six-hour wakeup can retry when access changes.

    Running the remaining installed-client acceptance check against the live RSS feed in Apple Podcasts. Dedicated worker: gitpa_listener; Codex chat/session 01a110f1-45c5-7633-ad92-c6f9f7f131d8. This is UI validation; no code branch or worktree is needed. Subscription, episode display and advancing playback must all pass before completion.

    The latest Apple Podcasts attempt reached a crash-recovery dialog after native app selection stalled. Subscription and client playback remain unverified. The dedicated worker has finished that attempt and is now assigned to #20 refresh garden proxies; no worker is running on this acceptance check.

    The deployed feed still includes GitP.26.09.25. This issue remains blocked on usable podcast-client access. No implementation branch or worktree is needed. Coordination session: 01a110f1-45c5-7633-ad92-c6f9f7f131d8.
