Bumps @expo/ui from 57.0.16 to 58.0.19.

Release notes

Sourced from @expo/ui's releases.

@expo/ui@58.0.19

Patch Changes

  • Add accessibilityLabel, accessibilityHint (iOS) and testID to the community Slider. The drop-in dropped them, so VoiceOver and TalkBack announced a slider by its value alone and end-to-end tools could not find it. iOS applies them as SwiftUI accessibility modifiers, Android as the semantics and testID modifiers, and web as aria-label and data-testid. (#51632 by @brentvatne)
  • [iOS] Stop shipping a precompiled iOS framework. ArrangementView and onHingeChange now work on iOS 27.1 without buildFromSource when the app is built with Xcode 27.1 or later. (#51636 by @brentvatne)

@expo/ui@58.0.18

Patch Changes

  • [iOS] Speed up app launch by naming the SwiftUI views without protocol conformance lookups. (#51459 by @Kudo)
  • Fix Android universal TextInput placeholders ignoring textStyle. (#51563 by @sync)
  • [iOS] Fix Form and List sections in a Host starting 20pt inside the large title beside the iPhone Duo's rail, where iOS drops its content margin. This works around a SwiftUI bug and applies only on an edge where the inset comes from a bar beside the content. (#51606 by @huntie)

58.0.19

58.0.18

Patch Changes

  • [iOS] Speed up app launch by naming the SwiftUI views without protocol conformance lookups. (#51459 by @Kudo)
  • Fix Android universal TextInput placeholders ignoring textStyle. (#51563 by @sync)
  • [iOS] Fix Form and List sections in a Host starting 20pt inside the large title beside the iPhone Duo's rail, where iOS drops its content margin. This works around a SwiftUI bug and applies only on an edge where the inset comes from a bar beside the content. (#51606 by @huntie)

58.0.17

Patch Changes

  • [Android] Fix the universal ListItem ignoring testID. The prop was never passed to Compose, so end-to-end tools such as Maestro could not find list rows on Android. It is now applied as the testID modifier, like the universal Button and Checkbox do. (#51480 by @devonik)
  • [Android] Bump Jetpack Compose UI and Foundation to 1.12.1 and Material3 to 1.5.0-beta01. Add preferredItemWidth to HorizontalCenteredHeroCarousel and deprecate maxItemWidth, matching the Material3 rename. Add TimePickerElementColors props without the Unselected infix (for example clockDialContentColor) and deprecate the old names. (#51426 by @intergalacticspacehighway)

58.0.16

Patch Changes

  • [Internal] Bump precompiled artifacts due to ABI breakage in expo-modules-jsi, which makes JavaScriptValue a non-copyable struct. (#51368 by @tsapeta)
  • [iOS] Fix the community BottomSheet clipping its content when the sheet is narrower than the window, as on iPhone Duo. When the sheet sized itself to its content, the content was pinned to the window width and centered in the sheet, so its leading edge was cut off. The content now takes its width from the sheet and its height from the content. presentationSizing takes a fitted option ({ horizontal, vertical }) to fit a sheet to its content on one axis only. (#51319 by @intergalacticspacehighway)
  • [Android] Fix an RNHostView that ignores touches when a Compose button with a ripple in the same Host was pressed earlier. The ripple container that Compose adds was found first during React Native's touch-target search, so the touch went to the Host instead of the hosted view. (#51237 by @intergalacticspacehighway)
  • Fixed measure() of views hosted in RNHostView inside SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose containers. (#50715 by @intergalacticspacehighway)
  • Added a development warning when a Host renders directly inside another Host without an RNHostView. The universal BottomSheet no longer adds its own Host when it renders inside one. (#50715 by @intergalacticspacehighway)
  • [iOS] Fixed measure() of views hosted in RNHostView when SwiftUI insets the Host's content, for example by the safe area. (#50727 by @intergalacticspacehighway)
  • [Android] Fix the community MenuView opening detached above its anchor near the bottom of the screen, and add a properties prop to the Jetpack Compose DropdownMenu. (#51412 by @intergalacticspacehighway)
  • [Android] Fix a numeric width() modifier crashing the app on launch with FieldCastException: Cannot cast value for field 'width' since the IntrinsicSize support added in 57.0.22 / 58.0.9. JS numbers reach the modifier record as Double, which matched neither branch of Either<Int, IntrinsicSizeType>; the field is now Either<Double, IntrinsicSizeType>, so numeric widths convert again and width(IntrinsicSize.Min|Max) keeps working. (#51322 by @expo-bot)
  • [iOS] Add cornerRadius and opacity to Chart's pieStyle. Pie slices could not have rounded corners, and their opacity was fixed at 0.8, so a chart drawn in solid colors always looked washed out. Both default to the previous behavior. Rounded corners let a single-slice donut work as a progress ring with rounded ends. (#51351 by @jsg2021)

58.0.15

Patch Changes

  • [iOS] Fix Chart ignoring lineStyle.width on line charts. The line mark applied .lineStyle twice (once for the dash pattern, once for the width), and the first one wins, so lines always rendered at 1 pt. The width and the dash pattern are now set in one StrokeStyle. (#51283 by @brentvatne)
  • [Android] Add showTitle and showHeadline to the Jetpack Compose DateTimePicker, DatePickerDialog, DateRangePicker, and DateRangePickerDialog to hide Material 3's title and headline. The community DateTimePicker with presentation="inline" now hides both on Android, matching iOS. To keep the title and headline, use DateTimePicker from @expo/ui/jetpack-compose instead. (#51274 by @IGx89)
  • [Android] Fix a Pressable (or any JS responder) being cancelled when a MaskedView, or any other component that renders a Host, is laid over it. Once React Native grants the JS responder, the responder's view intercepts the touch stream and sends ACTION_CANCEL to its native children, including that Host. The Host reported this cancel as Compose claiming the gesture, which cancelled the press it belonged to. Holds longer than about 30 ms never fired onPress. (#51163 by @1kuko3)
  • Fix iOS Picker not reporting a selection that equals the last selection prop when the user changes it again before the prop updates. (#51196 by @expo-bot)
  • [iOS] Add searchable and searchToolbarBehavior SwiftUI modifiers. (#50369 by @expo-bot)

Note

Medium Risk
Third-party UI library version jump (57→58) with no app code changes; native UI/touch/layout behavior could shift where @expo/ui is used, and the SDK line differs from the pinned Expo 57 stack.

Overview
Bumps @expo/ui in @whip/mobile from ~57.0.16 to ~58.0.19, with package-lock.json updated so the mobile app resolves 58.0.19 (including a nested apps/mobile/node_modules/@expo/ui entry).

No application source changes—only the dependency version. The mobile app still uses Expo ~57 while @expo/ui moves to the 58 line; upstream release notes for this range are mostly patch fixes (accessibility on Slider, iOS launch/layout, Android TextInput/ListItem/Host touch and sizing, BottomSheet layout, etc.), which may affect screens that use @expo/ui primitives such as BottomSheet and RNHostView.

Incompatible Expo UI major bump

High Severity

This takes @expo/ui to the SDK 58 major while expo, expo-router, and react-native stay on SDK 57. @expo/ui 58 is built for a different expo-modules-jsi ABI and iOS 27/Compose toolchain, and the lockfile now nests 58.0.19 beside the 57.0.16 copy that expo-router still loads, so native autolinking, sheets, and the Android toolbar can disagree at build or runtime.
