Derived from OpenStreetMap (highway=speed_camera), (c) OpenStreetMap contributors, published under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). This derived database is published under the same licence.

These are FIXED cameras only

Mobile safety-camera vans are not included and are not available in any open dataset. Nothing in this data should be presented as showing where a mobile camera is or will be.

Displaying fixed camera locations is ordinary practice: they are shipped in consumer satnav products and their positions are published by police forces.

kind	0 unspecified, 1 fixed, 2 average or section, 3 traffic signal camera
maxspeed_mph	posted limit, -1 where OSM has no maxspeed tag
direction	0 both or unknown, 1 forward, 2 backward

Completeness

OpenStreetMap coverage is contributed, not official. 3,492 cameras are mapped and only 1,800 carry a posted speed limit. Treat an absence as "not mapped", never as "no camera here".
