Description
Currently there is no way to know if the agent has read a message. The `status` field supports `sending`, `sent`, `confirmed`, and `failed`, but `confirmed` only means the transaction landed on-chain — not that the agent processed it.
Suggested implementation
- Define a lightweight "ack" envelope type in the PSK protocol
- When the agent processes a message, it sends a minimal ack transaction back
- The chat client updates message status to "read" when the ack is received
- This could reuse the existing polling infrastructure
Considerations
- Each ack costs a minimum transaction fee (0.001 ALGO)
- Could be opt-in to avoid unnecessary costs
- Requires coordination with the agent-side bridge implementation
