This is an automated Chutes and Ladders game player, for when you want to know the outcome of a theoretical game of Chutes and Ladders, but you don't want to actually play it out.
I realized that Chutes and Ladders, while attempting to teach moral lessons about life through illustrating the benefits of virtuous decisions and the pitfalls of poor ones ("ladders" and "chutes", respectively), was, in fact, completely random, a coin-flip of a game. What does that teach us? That free will is a lie? Then what's the point of moral instruction at all?
It can often feel like things are outside of our control, like our decisions and endeavors are futile breaststrokes against a great and irresistible current. This app is meant to simulate that feeling, but also to efficiently resolve it. The world's inherent contradictions and a broader sense of futility are no reason not to try, even if there's no point. After all, what else are you going to do with your time?
Not play pointless board games, that's for sure.
