What & why
Bring the README into line with main: update the version to 0.4.4, explain insertion refusal when the frontmost app changes, correct Secure Event Input retention and Undo behavior, and clarify that model repair downloads are credential-free.
Also add the existing websocket.zig upgrade research dated 2026-08-18, documenting the upstream changes, compatibility probes, and recommendation to revisit the pin at the next compiler bump. The research was not rerun for this PR.
