Getting Started
The easiest way to take advantage of the features of Attest for Android is to utilize the Desktop Client. It will walk you through getting connected to the Accessibility Service and keep you from having to interact directly with the terminal in order to access the device.
- Firewall that does not block agora.dequecloud.com
- A laptop supporting macOS (ask us about support for other platforms!)
- Android 5.0+ Device/Emulator
The easiest way to access the Desktop Client is from the Mac App Store. If you don't have a mac or are having trouble accessing the App Store contact a Deque Representative.
Connect your device via USB to your computer. Enable USB Debugging on your device. An alert will pop up asking for permission to connect. You will need to reapply this permission each time you restart the client.
Once a USB connection to your device has been established, click the install button to get the service! The demo application is packaged with the service. It must stay installed.
On your device navigate to
Settings > Accessibility > Worldspace Attest
turn on the service, and be sure to accept media projection! If you do not, Attest will not take screenshots.
That's about it. Now you can use any of the powerful analysis and debugging tools available. Check out the Runtime Analysis, Accessibility XML Traversal, and Testing API!
