An AI-powered biographical diary app that captures a user's life through daily entries (voice, video, text, photos) and uses AI to synthesize those entries into biographical chapters, memoirs, and documentary-style content. The app acts as a personal biographer: interviewing the user, asking follow-up questions, and curating a narrative of their life over years and decades.
Product discovery complete. 42 features defined, 60 decisions locked in, no open blockers. Next step is technical architecture and build.
The entire product discovery process was conducted in Claude Code, starting from a raw voice memo. I am not an engineer. I recorded a 14-minute voice memo describing what I wanted to build, then used Claude Code to run structured product discovery against myself: 10 rounds, 54 questions, 60 decisions.
-
Voice Transcript - The raw starting point. A 14-minute voice memo transcribed and loaded into Claude Code. This is how the idea existed in my head before any structure was applied.
-
Interview Q&A - 10 rounds of structured product discovery. Claude Code acted as the interviewer, I answered. Each round digs deeper: core experience, AI personality, digital legacy, social sharing, onboarding, business model, content architecture, public features, edge cases, and a final PM spec review to close gaps.
-
Product Memory - The persistent specification built and updated across sessions. 42 features, 60 decisions, a full decisions log with dates, anti-patterns (what the product is NOT), open questions, and a session log tracking how the spec evolved.
- Multi-modal diary entries (voice, video, text, photo)
- AI biographer that interviews you after entries, like a real biographer would
- Biographical chapter generation with configurable writing styles (Isaacson, Tolkien, etc.)
- Public AI biographer that others can interact with while you are alive or after you pass
- Digital legacy system with configurable sharing, exclusion, and destroy-on-death controls
- Character map tracking people mentioned across entries
- Social sharing outputs formatted for Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Substack
- Documentary generation from photos, videos, and voice recordings (future)
- Export as PDF, ePub, or printed book
- Biographer, not therapist. The AI stays objective and intellectual. No emotional pattern detection, no mood tracking, no wellness suggestions. This is a firm boundary.
- Memory of a memory. The app captures not just what happened, but how past events continue to affect you over time. It follows up on past entries to close loops.
- Nothing gets overwritten. All generated versions coexist. Every entry, every chapter, every biography version persists.
- Trust is paramount. Zero tolerance for data leaks. The exact encryption model is TBD but security is non-negotiable.
