Summary

The tools required QRATE_CLI, which only qrate's own Agent panel sets. A Pi installed separately could load this extension, but every tool failed with "qrate did not provide its CLI path".

  • Fall back to the qrate command on PATH when QRATE_CLI is not set.
  • Name the caller pi in qrate's Agent panel unless QRATE_AGENT says otherwise.
  • A missing command now says to install qrate and put its command on PATH.
  • README: how to use the extension in your own Pi.

Nothing changes for the Pi that qrate bundles: it still gets both variables from qrate.

Release

Not needed for the qrate CLI release (devnull03/qrate#122), which pins 0.3.0. If this merges, tag 0.3.1 and move the pin in qrate's scripts/fetch-agent-runtime.* when convenient.

Verification

npm run check and npm test pass (7 tests).
