I have made links default to opening in the same tab. Grand Prix requires so many games that you end up with a ton of DF tabs open (I remember last year that Velorum ended up with 50 DF tabs open). The tradeoff of having a single tab open is worth the tradeoff of saving your place in one tab because it gets lost among a ton of other tabs anyway.
I also updated some content -- still need to update the link on the Learn More button
