Worklog Raycast Extension

A simple Raycast plugin that logs work entries to ~/Documents/WORKLOG.md organized by date.

Setup

1. Install dependencies:

   npm install

2. Add an icon file:

   • Create or download a PNG icon (512x512px recommended)
   • Save it as assets/command-icon.png
   • Or update the icon field in package.json to point to your icon

3. Run in development mode:

   npm run dev

Usage

Add Worklog Entry

1. Open Raycast
2. Search for "Add Worklog Entry"
3. Type your work entry
4. Optionally add a link (URL)
5. Press Enter

Your entry will be added to ~/Documents/WORKLOG.md under today's date header.

View Worklog

1. Open Raycast
2. Search for "View Worklog"
3. Browse your entries organized by day
   • Entries with links show a 🔗 icon
4. Use actions to:
   • Open link (Cmd+L) - if entry has a link
   • Copy entry (Cmd+C) - copies the link if present, otherwise the text
   • Copy entry with date (Cmd+Shift+C)
   • Open worklog file (Cmd+O)
   • Show in Finder (Cmd+Shift+F)

Format

The worklog file is organized like this:

- Updated documentation

Each entry is added as a bullet point under the current date. Optional links are stored in the format [[url]] at the end of the entry.
