Hot Fix

Fixed

• Affix dots now match Project Ebonhold affix names more reliably. Creature affixes such as Undead, Beast, Demon, Dragon, Elemental, Giant, Mechanical, and Machine now match their item suffixes correctly.
• Affix data sync now asks Project Ebonhold for the learned-affix list when needed. AutoDelete still uses Project Ebonhold's parsed affix table, so it does not replace Project Ebonhold's packet handler.
• Affix Protection now protects One-Key Disenchant too. Keep, KeepOne, KeepStack, Show/Keep Missing Affix, KeepOne Missing Affix, and checked Affix Protection tiers now block One-Key Disenchant before it can target the item.

v3.20.1 — hotfix for v3.20 load failure

Hotfix for v3.20 load failure

v3.20's zip contained a corrupted copy of AutoDelete.lua from a release-time merge mistake. The file shipped with duplicate code blocks that tripped Lua 5.1's 200-local cap on every fresh install, so the addon appeared enabled in the AddOns list but /del did nothing and the settings panel never opened.

v3.20.1 is the same release, repackaged correctly. No new features, no behavior changes.

If you have v3.20 installed

1. Download AutoDelete_v3.20.1.zip below
2. Delete your existing Interface\AddOns\AutoDelete\ folder
3. Extract v3.20.1 in its place. Folder must be named exactly AutoDelete
4. Restart WoW (a /reload is not enough; the addon never loaded the first time)

If /del opens the settings panel after restart, you're good.

Fixed

• Addon failed to load on a fresh install of v3.20. The shipped v3.20 zip tripped Lua 5.1's "main function has more than 200 local variables" error on load. Caused by a release-time merge that retained duplicate code blocks from the pre-release branch state. v3.20.1 ships the correct, audited file.

Performance note — ElvUI

If you still see pickup stutter and use ElvUI, open /ec, go to Bags, and uncheck Show Bind on Equip/Use Text — that one option causes most of the lag during heavy loot. AutoDelete's measured contribution during those spikes is ~1% of frame time.

Removed

• Auto-Open Containers — pulled before ship. WoW 3.3.5a treats UseContainerItem as a protected function for a wide class of items: clams, junkboxes, lockboxes, items with cast-on-use effects, books, quest-starting items, anything requiring a target. When any addon calls UseContainerItem from a bag scan or event handler (instead of a real player click or keypress), the client fires ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED and silently no-ops. This is not a server quirk and not specific to any one addon — every addon that auto-fires UseContainerItem hits the same wall. The documented Blizzard workaround is a secure button clicked via a user-bound keybind or macro, which is a manual action rather than automatic. May revisit as a keybind-driven opener in a future release.
