Text in jupyter notebook is blurry

[kkew3]

I tried to use Search as a jupyter notebook editor. The jupyter lab server runs on localhost. However, the text is a little blurry, which does not happen in Chrome.

Thanks for the report. Is this on an external display or on the Mac's built-in screen? A screenshot of the same cell in Search and in Chrome would help too.

Thanks @kkew3. Search draws pages with WebKit, the same engine as Safari, so one comparison would tell us where the blur comes from: could you open the same notebook in Safari and say whether the text looks the same as in Search (blurry) or as in Chrome (sharp)? If Safari is blurry too, it's WebKit's rendering of that page rather than something Search adds; if Safari is sharp, it's ours and we'll dig in. The display question from before still helps too (built-in screen or external, and its scaling).

Thanks for your explanation. It was on an external display, 1920x1080. I just redownloaded and installed Search, and couldn't seem to reproduce the issue. So I guess I'd better close this now since it can't be consistently reproduced. If it ever happens next time, I'll send a screenshot here.

Maybe I should not ask for too much in this case, since Search exhibits the same behavior as Safari, which makes sense since they share the same infrastructure. But here are the screenshots of blurry jupyter notebook menu anyway:
