When a category-filtered invocation such as deixic-code doctor --config runs in an environment that defines MAESTRO_DAEMON_URL, this condition still performs the daemon HTTP request and waits up to the configured timeout; the result is discarded only afterward by the category filter. The runner environment variables cause the same behavior for the runner probe. Gate these probes on the requested categories before awaiting them, while retaining environment-driven probing only when no category filter was supplied.
