Using own input data - help needed #27

Description

@gb2111

Hello,

I've noticed that some talented developers have managed to use their own data with this project. Could someone please provide a script, ideally with sample data, that can be converted for use with AvatarPoser? :)

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Greg

    Hello,
    I am facing the same issue, and I would greatly appreciate some help :)
    I am only interested to perform IK on my own data. I am not interested in visualisations of results.

    Moreover, I am unable to understand how to even use original data. Here are the problems I am facing on each step :

    1. Download datasets : For BMLrub, CMU, and HDM05, I am unsure which option (SMPL+H G, SMPL-X G, SMPL-X N or Render) to download from. After that, I am unsure about where I should place them in my folder hierarchy
    2. Download the required body model. I think I managed to find the right place from where to download them: smpl download page

    Upon execution, I am also facing the following error. Error for which I am not finding much documentation online. However, I was wondering if you could maybe provide us something like a requirements.txt. along with the python version you were using.

    ImportError: ('Unable to load EGL library', "Could not find module 'EGL' (or one of its dependencies). Try using the full path with constructor syntax.", 'EGL', None)

    Also, after commenting lines that seemed only relevant for visualisations of results, I found myself facing the following error :

    [...]
      File "C:\Users\E20C238L\Documents\work-nas\t+e-project\AvatarPoser\models\select_model.py", line 28, in define_Model

        smpl_dict = np.load(bm_fname, encoding='latin1')

        fid = stack.enter_context(open(os.fspath(file), "rb"))
    FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'support_data/body_models/smplh/male/model.npz'

    But I have no idea where I should download the asked model.npz file.

    I tried to explain my problem as simply as possible.
    Thanks for your time and thanks again for your promising project.
