[MetaMask Mobile] "Switch to network Polygon mumbai" button does nothing

Upon clicking the button, nothing happens. Opening straight from the MetaMask App

This comfort function only works for the metamask browser plugin and not for wallet connected through Wallet connect (which is used by WalletConnect on Android).

We would **put a note to the button that the function is limited. ** (also for other metamask specifics)

So far i have not found a way to distinguish which wallet is used to be able to hide the buttons when they are useless.

I opened PR #1670 for this: #1670

The fix handles MetaMask Mobile's wrapped 4902 unknown-chain error, awaits the wallet_addEthereumChain fallback, and surfaces wallet errors instead of failing silently. I could not run the project test suite in my local environment because npm/yarn/pnpm were unavailable in the fresh clone, so review on a mobile wallet flow would be especially useful.
