This PR updates English pages and shared snippets where the copy uses retired names, old package names, outdated setup notes, or dated taglines. Localized copies are left to the translation pipeline. It replaces #1563 through #1580, with identical code.

Package names

Python install lines now use pip install firecrawl, and JS imports use firecrawl. This covers the advanced scraping guide, the capabilities page, the Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, and AutoGen quickstarts, the shared v2 install and proxy-retry snippets, the Search page, the web-scale monitoring page, and the v2 Monitor snippets. firecrawl-py and @mendable/firecrawl-js publish the same versions and keep working as aliases. The LangChain, LlamaIndex, and CrewAI install lines keep the alias names, because those packages declare the alias as their dependency.

mendable.ai links in samples

The v2 crawl WebSocket sample now crawls https://firecrawl.dev instead of https://mendable.ai. The v2 search sample output now shows the firecrawl/firecrawl repo title instead of mendableai/firecrawl.

FIRE-1

On the Billing page, the FIRE-1 row is renamed to the v1 scrape agent option, which is what that row bills. On the Search page, the scrape-options note no longer mentions the FIRE-1 Agent, because v2 scrape options have no agent option.

Agent replaces /extract

The Agent page now says Agent replaces the legacy /extract endpoint, and the comparison heading and table are labelled "legacy /extract". No docs link to the old heading anchor.

Extract in capability lists

Capability lists now name what each surface actually offers:

  • AI onboarding and OpenClaw list Agent jobs instead of extract, since the CLI has no extract command.
  • The Stripe Projects endpoint list links Agent.
  • The Hermes card says "search and scrape backend".
  • The Composio row is Agent.
  • The Lovable row describes structured data with Scrape's JSON format.

Zapier, Make, Pipedream, LangChain, and LlamaIndex keep "extract" where it is the third-party action or mode name.

ADK API key

The ADK guide listed FIRECRAWL_API_KEY as required with the cloud API. Without a key, the MCP server runs keyless for scrape and search within free limits; other tools and higher limits need a key. The section heading changes from "Required Configuration" to "Authentication", and no docs link to the old anchor.

Observability points to Monitor

The observability use case now leads with Monitor for scheduled change detection with webhook or email alerts. It then describes the do-it-yourself scrape pipeline, and no longer mentions the extract API.

Brand casing

"FireCrawl" becomes "Firecrawl" in a code comment in the RAG Llama 3 tutorial.

Taglines

Dated taglines like "web data API", "LLM-ready data", "turn websites into markdown", and "web scraping + AI workflows" are replaced with the current wording: the context API for AI agents; search, scrape, and interact with the web; LLM-ready context. This covers:

  • the Introduction;
  • SDK page descriptions;
  • the Claude, Gemini, LangChain, and OpenAI guides and the research assistant cookbook;
  • the Express, NestJS, and ASP.NET Core quickstart descriptions;
  • the use-case overview, AI platforms, and developers & MCP intros;
  • the Enterprise intro and the SourceSync.ai description;
  • the Scrape and Parse descriptions;
  • sample outputs (search titles, scrape ogDescription, company_mission);
  • the "Ready to build?" sidebar card.

The e-commerce, data migration, and lead enrichment intros are accurate, so they aren't rewritten.

Needs a human look

  • The sidebar card wording, which shows on every page.
  • The new one-liners in the LLM guides, use-case intros, the Enterprise intro, and SourceSync.
  • The sample outputs, which now show illustrative values rather than a freshly captured response.
  • The Observer template cards on the competitive-intelligence and investment-finance pages, which still point to the firecrawl-observer repo.
  • The Billing row label "v1 scrape agent option".
  • The Composio row changed from Extract to Agent, and the Lovable row is relabelled "Structured data".
  • The new Monitor sentence on the observability page, and whether its Observer template card should point to Monitor instead.

Checks: scripts/check-locale-api-literals-selftest.sh and scripts/check-extraction-hostile-markdown.sh pass locally.
