Execute proven U32/U64 addition in compiler-produced programs. The runtime checks widths, overflow and metering; independent lowerer and verifier judgments require bounds that prove the sum fits. Recursive helper judgments isolate their facts and restore the caller scope, including error paths.

The checked provider components were reproduced independently and their digest-locked packages refreshed. Retained legacy and strict SourceFunctions fixtures exercise the public compiler/verifier/runtime crossing. The rebuild recipe refuses a generated provider that differs from recorded provenance. A fresh public build with the corrected components produces byte-identical retained package and verification-report bytes.

Validation at 82a6730d32b68bec20e9ba6ed67f515d34237b6a:

  • All 44 hosted checks pass, including independent component reproducibility and the exact Edict provider-host contract.
  • 215 native provider tests, 45 relevant runtime tests, 21 package tests and 36 promotion tests pass, with strict relevant Clippy checks.
  • The helper-scope regression reproduced lowerer acceptance versus independent verifier refusal before the fix, then both helper orderings refused correctly.
  • Matching publication provenance accepts; the historical-provider negative control refuses.
  • Final-head independent review reported no major issues; both review findings are resolved.

Companion Edict #259 is merged. Canonical behavior and limits are documented in docs/topics/GeneratedRules.md and the provider component/package documentation. This adds bounded computation. Full authored graph effects, physical allocation, installed admission, atomic settlement and retained-decision recovery remain separate unfinished work in #921.

📝 Walkthrough

This change adds bounded U32 and U64 addition to pure evaluation and native provider judgments. It adds compiler-package fixtures and tests, and updates the checked provider component and package identities.

Changes: Unsigned addition

Layer / File(s) Summary
Pure addition evaluation
crates/warp-core/src/edict_pure/*
The parser and expression model now represent unsigned addition. Inference rejects additions that may exceed the declared width. Evaluation uses checked arithmetic and enforces step and allocation limits.
Native addition proofs
crates/echo-edict-provider-lowerer/src/executable_operation/*, crates/echo-edict-provider-verifier/src/executable_operation/*, crates/echo-edict-provider-verifier/tests/*
The lowerer and verifier accept same-width U32 or U64 addition only when bounded predicates prove the sum fits the declared width. Tests cover predicate ordering, negation, missing proofs, and legacy Core without a function table.
Pinned package execution tests
crates/warp-core/tests/edict_unsigned_addition_tests.rs, crates/warp-core/tests/fixtures/edict-unsigned-addition-*, crates/warp-core/Cargo.toml, .github/workflows/ci.yml
Trusted-runtime tests exercise pinned compiler and source-function packages at unsigned boundaries and check rejected inputs. The fixtures include package carriers, provenance, and build instructions. CI runs the new test target.
Provider identities and documentation
CHANGELOG.md, docs/topics/GeneratedRules.md, schemas/edict-provider/*, crates/echo-wesley-gen/*, xtask/src/provider_lowerer_component.rs
The changelog and generated-rules documentation describe addition bounds and provider judgment requirements. The provider manifest, component identities, and package test pins now use updated digests.

@codex review please

The runtime and independent native proof paths are implemented in 362ebc1, including the legacy function-table bypass guard and conjunctive-prefix/negation isolation. Two independent designated Linux builds produced identical provider components, which passed audited promotion and package/resource synchronization. The genuine public SourceFunctions producer/runtime witness is still running, so this remains a draft. Please review the arithmetic proof and scope boundaries before final readiness.

@codex review please

Final implementation 00725b3 retains a genuine public SourceFunctions package and its accepted report, exact identity checks, repeated/fresh fixture reproduction and boundary/guard execution. The first strict runtime witness exposed a missing helper-frame addition judgment; that is fixed with its own bounded proof and a refusal test for unbounded parameter-plus-one. The generated package goldens are refreshed from their owning manifest. All local runtime/package/lint gates pass; final hosted checks are pending. Please review the helper-frame proof and retained public acceptance scope.
