Looking into flashing an V3.0.1 with RP2040

fist of all, i'm sorry to post this as an issue, it is more like a question
i've been looking into an V3.0.1 board, and thinking to build an crkbd for me
but the version i got comes with an rp2040 controller, and i'm not sure if i can use the rev4_0 that already comes configured with the rp2040
how can i (if it is needed) modify the rev1 firmware to use rp2040 controller?

too early... seems like this worked:
qmk compile -kb crkbd/rev1 -km default -e CONVERT_TO=rp2040_ce

It is compatible with QMK specifications. However, a ProMicro compatible RP2040 board is required, and firmware changes are required. I have not tested this, so I cannot support.
