On the custom PCB, the device is always connected to power to enable maintaining RTC time. For this reason, any standby state must be implemented using the low-power modes of the MCU. Code should be added to go to standby upon pressing the the power button and to wake from sleep on pressing the power button or plugging in the USB Micro B connector.
