The Rust walkthrough now links to the 2.5.17 API onboarding guide and shows font loading through an asset bundle, so missing files and invalid font bytes produce errors. It also explains the existing skip behavior of the file/directory font helpers and the scope of glyph-coverage checks.
The short quickstart pins 2.5.17. The downloadable designed starter stays at its verified 2.5.11 pin, and the page makes that distinction explicit.
Validation: the strict site build and 78-page internal link/anchor/search audit pass, as do documentation CI and desktop/mobile browser checks. The public Fullbleed 2.5.17 crate and its docs.rs pages are verified. All three Rust snippets on this page execute against that public crate; the font example uses the actual Inter file from the downloadable starter ZIP. The API release's runnable example ZIP has also been executed after extraction and its public download checksum verified.
