Your team, plus one. The work, attended to.
A virtual employee for the businesses software forgot: the ones run by one person wearing every hat. Obra logs into the systems you already use, does the multi step operational jobs a member of staff would do (guest messages, document processing, compliance filings, scheduling, accounting prep), and brings you only what genuinely needs a human. You keep the decisions. It does the work.
It is built so that trust is structural, not a promise you are asked to take on faith. Operator-blind, so we cannot see your data. Local-first, so it runs on your own machine under your own Claude key. Anything critical is read twice and independently, and the two reads have to agree before it moves. Every action is signed into an audit trail you own and can export. And nothing that touches the outside world happens without your yes.
A self-running walkthrough of one real Saturday: Obra reads the booking, reasons on the board, stops at the moments that need a human, files the guest registrations to SIBA, proves each passport was deleted, and never moves anything outside without your yes. It plays on its own, on desktop or phone.

The behaviors in it are real and tested, already run on Obra. It is the working flow, dramatized for someone seeing it for the first time, and it is the canonical interaction model the product is built around: the board is where Obra thinks, the chat is where you speak, and every step that matters waits for you.
- The site. get-obra.com: what Obra is, in plain language, in English and Portuguese.
- The thesis. The Trust Gap: why this gap exists at the channel layer, and why only a local-first design can close it. About a 10 minute read.
- The architecture. How it actually works: the engineer-readable mechanism behind the claims. About a 20 minute read.

| claude-for-portuguese-al-hosts | The open reference pack (Apache 2.0): the architecture document, the skills, the connector contracts, and the trust-gap essay. Read this to see how Obra is built. |
| get-obra.github.io | The source of the website at get-obra.com. Site only, no platform code. |
The platform itself is a managed service and is not open source. What is public is the thinking and the reference pack: the essay, the architecture, and the skills.
The first place Obra works is short term rental hosting in Portugal and across the EU, where a single host is quietly responsible for guest registration, identity checks, and compliance filings the booking platforms never finish for them. Hospitality is the wedge, not the ceiling. The same engine carries to any operational, regulated, small business, one vertical at a time as the library grows.
Claude, by Anthropic. Obra grows with the model, never against it.
Obra. Portuguese for "the work."
