Summary

The HTTP MCP server can now return still frames from a video asset already in an OpenScreen project, so an MCP client can inspect the source recording before editing. getFrames accepts a project and optional asset ID, but no arbitrary file path. Its timestamps are source-video seconds, and its images do not include trims, zooms, or other edits. Only one frame extraction runs at a time to bound hidden decoder windows.

No UI change.

Testing

  • HTTP MCP SDK integration tests for image results, project-only selection, read-only access, and concurrent requests.
  • Full unit suite: 328 files passed; 4,604 tests passed and 2 skipped (with 4 workers). One unrelated UI timing test failed on the first unrestricted run and passed alone and in the bounded rerun.
  • App and test TypeScript checks, Biome lint, and website i18n check/build passed.
  • The installed app and external MCP Portal have not been updated with this branch, so portal image forwarding remains unverified.

Allow authenticated MCP clients to inspect recordings before editing while restricting frame reads to project assets and one decoder window at a time.
