Orca now has one desktop Overview for projects, agent activity, Runs and connected hosts. Linear remains the place to plan and triage work.

What Changed

Before, project context, agent activity, host settings and Linear work lived on separate surfaces. Overview connects them through four tabs and direct navigation. It reuses the existing agent dashboard and host status, reads paginated Runs from each owning runtime, and inspects the existing federated worker projection. An unavailable host remains visibly incomplete; it never becomes an empty or exited fleet.

This integration includes the existing Project home foundation and is based on the workspace-link scanner in this fork. The new Overview commit itself changes 21 files; the complete comparison also includes the Project home foundation from stablyai#22070. Scanner and Linear attention code are inherited prerequisites.

Why

A common entry point makes all-project management usable while retaining Linear's workflow and Orca's execution authority. Reusing the dashboard, host records and read APIs avoids a second status store or coordinator implementation. The new upstream native-chat coordinator stack (stablyai#22568, stablyai#22631, stablyai#22636, stablyai#22972) is not copied into this branch.

Dependencies: stablyai#22070, stablyai#22083, stablyai#22088, and #1. Base: feat/linear-workspace-link-scan.

Visual Proof

Hidden Electron before/after captures were inspected locally for Projects, Agents, Hosts and Run details. Attachments are pending; this remains a draft. No screenshot binaries are committed.

Testing

  • I manually tested these changes locally
  • Automated tests added/updated, or explained why not below

75 focused tests passed across owner routing, pairing replacement, timeouts, direct SSH refusal, unknown worker liveness, older-host transport serialization, navigation, Project home and scanner boundaries. Node/CLI/web typechecks, Electron build, changed-code quality, localization coverage and RPC catalog checks passed. The normal commit hooks passed without bypasses.

Hidden macOS Electron checks passed for Overview navigation and real legacy Run inspection; no agent launches occurred and test windows remained hidden. Project home conflict/folder tests and scanner git/folder review-save tests also passed on the integrated branch. Existing dev renderer displayed Overview with its configured project.

September 28 live Linear adapter checks passed after explicit reconnect: 77 Inbox items across two pages with no duplicates and matching viewer scope; Great Gateway Triage returned 29 issues; Home explicitly reported Triage disabled. The actual scanner read one workspace with no ticket evidence, and a separate live HOM-117 lookup passed its issue/workspace/organization identity checks. No provider writes or real link saves were performed. No connected SSH/paired host was available; live multi-host and Linux/Windows acceptance remain outstanding.

Review

Draft integration for review; not ready to merge. No upstream merge or deployment is implied. Durable Linear-issue-to-Run binding and duplicate-investigation prevention remain separate work; a Project home coordinator draft is not a confirmed Run. Autonomous scheduling is outside this increment.

Agent skill upstream boundary

  • Not applicable, or this change follows docs/reference/agent-skill-sharing-upstream-boundary.md and copies or mechanically translates no upstream skill-installer source, tests, fixtures, registry entries, path tables, comments, or documentation.

Notes

Desktop-only Overview. The web transport maps client-only views to the legacy terminal value, preserving sibling UI updates on older hosts. Profile/host-scope changes discard displayed Run data. Reads are bounded and pairing-fenced; direct SSH is never silently queried as local execution.

Checklist

  • This PR is small and focused
  • I explained what changed and why (ELI5, the user-facing before/after, the mechanism, and why over the alternatives)
  • Before/after screenshots or videos attached for UI changes, or N/A with reason
  • Self-reviewed for correctness, security, and performance
  • Cross-platform, SSH/remote, and path/shortcut impact considered (or N/A)
  • pnpm lint, pnpm typecheck, pnpm test, and pnpm build pass (or CI will cover; local preferred)

Validation used focused tests, changed-line lint and direct build/typecheck runners. The complete repository-wide lint/test suite was not run.
