Gustavo Landfried is a professor of Bayesian Causal Inference at the School of Science and Technology of the Universidad Nacional de San Martín.
After earning a master degree in Social Anthropology, Gustavo completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires under the supervision of the directors of the Applied Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (Diego Slezak) and the Interdisciplinary High Performance Computing Laboratory (Esteban Mocskos). There, he specialized in video game industry skill analysis based on Bayesian methods, which led him to develop and maintain state-of-the-art packages in Python, Julia, and R (TrueSkill Through Time).
Gustavo currently works in industry (Muttdata) as a Senior Data Scientist, developing Bayesian and causal inference projects for large multinational companies in Latin America. He is also co-founder and coordinator of the Plurinational Bayes community.
